  The bottom heating element in your Voss oven is activated when your use the oven function for upper-/lower heating - and also if your oven has a pizza function.
  If the lower heating element is defective, you will typically find that your Voss oven heats well on upper heat and convection, but that no heat is emitted when the bottom heating function is activated. If top/bottom heating is used simultaneously, the baking/roasting result will be heavily influenced by the lack of bottom heating.
