Water under the washing machine can be caused by one of the following:

• The error may be due to the filter either being blocked or not being tightened properly. Clean the filter and tighten it properly (careful not to overtighten it). In some cases, the filter may be stuck and impossible to get out. If this is the case, the only solution may be to use tools. But be aware that using tools may cause the filter to break. • The error may be due to the supply hose not being properly clamped to the tap and the washing machine – check if this is the case.
• The error may be due to the drain, or the drain hose being blocked – check if this is the case. You can check if the hose is clogged by blowing through one end. If it is clogged, you can try to clean it using a curtain wire or similar.
• The error may be due to the rubber door seal being either cracked or holed. In this case, it will be necessary to replace the door seal. Find a new rubber door seal here.
• The fault may be caused by water coming out of the soap drawer and running down the front and outside of the washing machine and onto the floor. If this is the case, read the “Water out of the soap drawer” section.
• If all the above are in order, the error may be due to a leaking pump, hose or defective gaskets inside the washing machine – check these. You will typically be able to check for leaks by tipping the washing machine – check for traces of water and follow the traces to find the leaks. • If the problem has been going on for a long time, lime scale traces or rust will often be able to reveal where the water is coming from.
